Shawarma Royale’s story began right here in Waterloo back in 2017, with a simple dream, to serve authentic, flavorful Middle Eastern shawarma made with royal-quality ingredients and big heart. What started as one small local spot quickly grew through the love of our loyal customers.
Over the years, we expanded to 22+ locations across Canada, becoming a favorite destination for shawarma lovers from coast to coast.
Now, we’re coming home to where it all began — Waterloo. Bringing our signature taste, warm hospitality, and community spirit back to the city that first believed in us.

I’ve tried most shawarma places around Waterloo, and Shawarma Royale easily takes the crown. The wraps are packed, the sauces are rich and flavorful, and everything tastes freshly made. Their student deals make it even better. Can’t wait to go back with my friends!
