At Shawarma Royale, we are dedicated to bringing the best Syrian shawarma tradition to Canada. With over 30 years of experience in the industry and a passion for creating authentic, delicious food, the founder, Mohammed Roumia, set out to bring a taste of the Middle East to food lovers all over the world. First location, which was housed in an underground hideaway in Waterloo, Ontario, quickly gained a reputation for its high-quality food and exceptional customer service. As word of mouth spread, we were forced to expand, and today we are proud to say that we have 13 locations across the GTA and counting.

Our Story

It all started with a dream and a passion for bringing something truly special to the world. The Brand founder, Mohammed Roumia, has spent over 20 years perfecting the art of creating authentic Syrian shawarma, and he knew that he had something exceptional to share. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, he never gave up on his vision. He opened the doors to our first location in a small, underground hideaway in the heart of Waterloo, Ontario, and began sharing his love of Middle Eastern cuisine with the world.

Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to quality, we have grown from that small, underground restaurant to a thriving business with 13 locations across the GTA and planning to open 5 more locations in the year 2023. We have big dreams of becoming a national brand and sharing our beloved shawarma with foodies across Canada. But our journey has just started. Great tasting shawarma, our commitment to provide great experience to our customers, and our confidence at building a great brand leads us towards one and only end goal of great success in our business.
